I haven’t posted since 2009! WOW!

My darling friend Bridget started a blog here so I thought I’d make one, turns out I have one already!

I’m not entirely sure how much I will be using this though, I have a Tumblr account that I use religiously. I cannot stop!

Anyway, bloggy post. A lot has happened since my last post. Justin and I are no longer together, I’m sort of seeing a really lovely American guy (he is back in Oregon now, I will be visiting him in September), my father passed away in June 2011 of brain cancer, lots and lots of things.

I hope to at least attempt to keep this going… We’ll see.

I am getting sick of customers just leaving clothes and things anywhere they choose to. Ladies tops do not belong in the mens pants section. It just makes far too much work for us volunteers, who are there to help no abuse (usually just verbally…)

Come on, people! It’s not that hard to put things back where you got them from.

When you work at an op shop (or any place that sells clothes or books or whatever you are interested in) IT IS VERY DANGEROUS! I want about half the stuff in the shop.

This week I have gotten: Doc Martens, a dress, earrings, a necklace charm and 3 presents for friends. And I get paid on Monday!

Oh well… hehe.

My co-workers today were all over 50, and loving having me around because I am “young and gorgeous and dress so well.” It’s odd to hear older people saying I dress well, because I dress differently to most people, but I was glad to hear it, I like people complimenting my style.

I borrowed some great, High-top Doc Martins today, wore them home. I’m hoping mum will give me $10 so I can BUY them! They’re so comfy!

That is all. xx

Today at Vinnies I delt with alot of strange people. There’s one old man that I’m used to, be comes in every day, sometimes more than once (todays count: 3 times.)

But then there are the people who try to flirt (mainly to get a discount… which we don’t do, by the way.) And the people who just stand there then walk out…

Well, that’s my short rant for today, I am far to exhausted to jabber on anymore.

So today I started my 2 week placement at Vinnies, and I am already sick of one of my co-workers. She wasn’t this annoying a few months ago!

She seems to think that she is the manager of the store, but she isn’t! She takes charge of everything… “What are we doing selling battery-powered toys? They don’t have any in them, you can’t tell if they work. Don’t put anymore battery toys out, ok?” IT ISN’T YOUR STORE, YOU DON’T DECIDE THESE THINGS!

At least I got to go home about an hour early, there was nothing for me to do.

Hopefully that lady isn’t working every day, or I will go insane.

I’ve been talking to my friend about these 2 boys who are obviously in love, but deny it. We decided to combine their names, and got “Dezza”.

Then we went on to combine our own names with our boyfriends. I got “Lustin” and “Jiz”… She got “Bon”, “Bron”, “Ridge” and “Rodget”, personally I like the last one.

It got me thinking… What if someone out there got a combo name more unfortunate than “Jiz”… I put together “Hillary” (as in Clinton” and “Obama” and got “Hobama”!

Let me know if you can think of anything hilarious.

Post #5: Video ezy, more like Video HARD!

My mum and I went to the video shop before (If you read my last post; mum is just ignoring what happened last night. Oh well) and we lost our card, so we had to tell the guy our surname ra ra ra. But it’s in my dads name, and he doesn’t live with us anymore, so we can’t hire movies. Now I have nothing to do tonight, maybe I should have gone to that party with my boyfriend after all.

We can’t sign up in my mums name because she doesn’t have a licence, passport or Keycard. I could have tried my Proof of age card, but I didn’t take my wallet. She tried to use her work i.d and Medicare card, but NOOOO, they don’t accept that! What, do they think we’re stealing someone identity to rent dvds? For crying out loud.

Back in the 90′s, it was alot easier.

Post #4: The times, they are a changin’.

Is it just me who is sick of everything changing so freaking fast? It seems I never get to settle into one place. Maybe that is why I don’t make much of an effort to find a job, I can actually control that… hmm, makes you think.

My mum met a new man nearly 3 or 4 years ago. And he, being the hippy he is, has put out his thoughts as freely and openly as he can, which have no influenced my mother. Now, my mum has always been the lovely, kind-hearted, warm mum that some people wish they had… now, she has been influenced by, let’s call him “Stinky” (because he IS!). She always wanted grandkids more than anything, now, with Stinky talking about the whole global warming stuff, saying that even my generation will see alot of shit happening, now she tells me NOT to have kids because they will really suffer and perish. Well, I obviously got fairly angry, nearly stormed off in the middle of dinner at a lovely restaurant, but didn’t because I hate making scenes.

That is just one example of how Stinky has influenced mum. I could give more examples, but a) you would be bored shitless after a while, and b) I kind of want to go to bed.

I know that was a fairly crap rant, but I needed to vent a bit.

If you know me personally, you would know that my job network has been fucking up alot recently… saying they will organise a placement at Vinnies for me, saying “I’ll call you when it’s organised” and not ringing me back. So then I have to ring again. That happened 3 times, but finally today I got a call and an email saying I can start on Monday. I was tempted to say “Oh, no I can’t do that… I am… er…. going away, yeah!” but I decided not to put it off, and hey, my boyfriend is doing job search training during those 2 weeks, so I won’t have anything to do.

So I suppose, now I’m going back to Vinnies, that I’ll be coming home with far too many books (and clothes) again. At least I don’t have money until the second week… I’ll just have to keep telling myself to ONLY buy Christmas presents. I need some sort of rehab for impulse buyers. Who’ll join me?
